Emmaville is a small unincorporated community in Hubbard County, Minnesota, United States. The community is located at the intersection of County Roads 4 and 24 just in between Park Rapids and Lake George and features a gas station, convenience store and cafe. It is also well traveled by snowmobilers in the winter because of its location near the trails, including the Heartland State Trail and is well known as the last stop before entering Camp Wilderness, a Boy Scout summer camp.
On June 6, 2008, Emmaville was the scene of widespread damage, along with nearby Park Rapids, Minnesota, when a storm system containing at least one tornado swept through the area, uprooting trees and damaging property.[1] One injury was reported.[2]
In 2010, Emmaville was officially put up for sale and purchased by Mike and Melinda Spry. The Sprys are renovating the store and cafe and plan to reopen in the spring of 2011. [3]
